If you’ve ever wondered how the stars of different Gundam series would do against each other, this is your chance to create the ultimate competitions. This allows you to customize your own suits, bring favorite characters into other worlds, and otherwise mix and match to your hearts content. Although the Official Mode is the star of the game, many fans will probably enjoy Ultimate Mode as much or more. Ultimate Mode brings all your favorites togetherĭynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn is a combination of a number of different popular Gundam series combined. It’s a little underwhelming to listen to trash talk from an enemy that is now nothing more than debris. One small problem that comes up is if you are too fast, you will be stuck listening to dialogue from the opponent until the dialogue is complete. The game is very fast paced, and rewards an aggressive play style. Exploding enemies is a trademark of this particular franchise, and it’s very satisfying to watch enemies come apart as you fight them. In keeping with other Dynasty Warriors games such as its predecessor, Dynasty Warriors: Gundam. This is only a minor flaw however, and doesn’t detract from the game very much.
There’s only so many boring metal walls and starry back drops you can look at before craving something different. The explosions are well done and beautiful to look at, but the backdrops are repetitive to the point of being dull. The graphics in this game are a step down form other Gundam games of the past, but they’re not terrible. This is one of those few, refreshing games where you can play as long as you want and still find new things to do. The game has an enormous amount of content, including a rich 20 hour long “Official Mode” as well as more open ended options. Dynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn wows players by doing just that. Emersive experiences are one of the biggest reasons we enjoy playing games so much.
